DEAR MR. MENARD
I AM WRITING ANOTHER LETTER TO YOU AND MENARDS OF RHINLANDER WI. I NEVER GOT A RESPOSE ON MY 1ST LETTER WICH MAKES ME THINK YOU DON'T CARE AS A OWER. I HOPE THAT IS NOT THE CASE. SO I GAVE MENARDS OF RHINLANDER ANOTHER CHANCE WITH MY BUSINESS. IN MY LAST LETTER I TOLD YOU AND TROY I SPEND LOTS OF MONEY IN YOUR STORE LOCATIONS. ON SEPT. 22ND THE WIFE AND I WENT TO THE RHILANDER LOCATION TO ORDER 2 NEW CABINETS FOR OUR HOME. I JUST FINNISHED REMODELING OUR HOME WITH NEW CONTERTOPS, CABINETS, LAMINATE FLOORING, NEW DOORS AND STORM DOORS, AND MANY OTHER ITEMS. AFTER ALL OF THAT MY DISHWASHER SPRONG A LEAK. INSURANCE ADJUSTER CAME THEN SERVPRO AND REMOVED ALL OUR FLOORING AND DAMAGED CABINETS. SO ON SEPT. 22ND WE WENT TO RHINLANDER TO ORDER OUR CABINETS. PAUL HELP ME ON THE ORDER. HE HELP WITH PICKING OUT THE RIGHT COLOR AND DESIGN OF CABINETS. THEY TOOK A MONTH TO GET IN. ON OCT. 18TH I WENT TO RHINLANDER TO PICK UP MY 2 CABINETS A 200 MILE ROUND TRIP. AT THE SAME TIME OF COARSE I BOUGHT MORE STUFF. SO WHEN I GOT HOME THE WIFE AND I OPENED THE BOX TO BRING THE CABINETS IN AND THEY WERE NOT WHAT WE ORDERED. 1 36" BASE HAD FLAT SQUARE DOORS AND THE OTHER HAD THE BIVELED DESIGN LIKE I ORDERED. THE COLOR DID NOT MATCH LIKE IT DID WHEN WE ORDERED THE CABINETS. THE CABINET DOORS WERE NOT INSTALLED RIGHT AND THE WIFE AND I WERE VERY UPSET AGAIN. SO I CALLED THE STORE AND TALKED WITH KEVIN IN THAT DEPARTMENT. HE TURN ME OVER TO TROY THE NEXT DAY. I TALKED WITH TROY AND THE FIRST THING HE TOLD ME WAS THERE WAS A 25% CHARGE FOR RETUNING THE CABINETS. THAT WAS NOT MY FIRST COCERN. IT WAS TO FIND THE RIGHT CABINETS AND TO GET THEM INSTALLED SO WE CAN FINNISH THE CABINETS AND PUT THE COUNTERTOPS AND SINK IN SO WE CAN INSTALL ALL THE NEW LAMINATE FLOORING BACK IN THE HOUSE. I CAN NOT WAIT ANOTHER MONTH OR EVEN A WEEK FOR NEW CABINETS. I ASKED IF I COULD RETURN THE CABINETS AND BUY THE VALUE CHOICE THAT WERE IN STOCK SO WE CAN GET OUR KITCHEN BACK TOGETHER. TROY SAID HE COULD GIVE ME A 20% OFF THE VALUE CHOICE BUT STRESSED 25% CHARGE FOR RETURNING THE CABINETS I RECIEVED WHICH WAS NOT MY FAULT IN THE BEGINING. I CALLED TROY BACK AFTER TALKING IT OVER WITH MY WIFE. I TOLD HIM THAT HE SHOULD NOT CHARGE ME THE 25% STOCKING FEE IT WAS THE MANUFACTERS MISTAKE ON THE DOORS AND COLOR. TROY CAME UNGLUED AND TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD NOT HELP ME OUT ON THE 20% HE SAID THAT WAS OFF THE TABLE THEN I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS RETURNING ALL MY LAMINATE FLOORING MY CABINETS, TRIM BOARDS, DECK RAILING AND MUCH MORE.$ 2,500.00 WORTH AND I WAS NOT SHOPPING AT MENARDS ANY MORE. HOME DEPOT IS JUST ACROSS TOWN. HE TOLD ME DO WHAT EVER YOU THINK IS BEST FOR YOU. THEN IT GOT UGLY AND WORDS WERE COMMING OUT OF BOTH OF OUR MOUTHS. I WENT TO YOUR PISSED OF CONSUMER WED SITE AND THER IS ALOT OF PEOPLE ON THERE COMPLANING ABOUT MANY DIFFERENT THINGS. I AND VERY COCERNED ABOUT THE LAST LETTER I WROTE AND DID NOT EVEN GET A RESPONSE. IS THIS THE WAY THE COMPANY IS MANAGED AND RAN? I SURE HOPE NOT. I TOLD TROY THAT HE SHOULD DO THE RIGHT THING WITH THE CABINETS AND HE DID NOT. I HOPE YOU WILL DO THE RIGHT THING FOR ME AND THE WIFE. I WOULD LIKE A RESPONSE TO THIS LETTER.

I purchased a yard sport vehicle on Sept 29th, it worked for an hour and stopped. Took it back to the store the next day and they exchanged for a larger vehicle and we paid the difference. We used the vehicle for two weekends and it started spurting gas all over hot engine. The manager explained that I need to take to certified mechanic in order to get a refund as this is TWO vehicles in less than 30 days. We have taken time off work, we have rented trailers to tow and the manager still will not give me a refund. Keenan store manager in Batavia has been extremely rude, abrupt and uncaring about our situation. We have purchased not one, but TWO defective vehicles and he will not refund my money. I have emailed corporate asking for a phone call with no avail. I have stopped the credit transactions on my cc. I need assistance. I have no vehicle, I do not want a vehicle that has broke twice on two different vehicles in 30 days. Somebody please help and advise me on how to get a refund . Please help! 773-780-5650. Sue

Your Hermantown Mn store recently complete installing new check out software. This new system does not show the purchase price of the item on the customer signature pad while it is being scanned, The old system showed the price. This could result in overcharges that the comsumer could not see unless he/she stands and looks over the clerks screen. Bad system ! I look foreward to an upgrade so I can see prices on the signature screen.

I recentaly was in your Menards in Matteson Il 60443. It was the worst experience I have ever had shopping in 36 years of my life. I went to return a weedwaker I purchased at your store it broke after a week. I bought the replacement plan on it for 4
4.99. I brought the weedwaker to the return desk was waited on by a very rude caisher her name was Marylynn she returned the it stapled my to old recipts together and I asked her did the money go back on my card what the return policy. Marylynn tells me I stapled the voucher to your recipts and Its on store credit? I say okay I walk over to yoursace heater department witch is near the return desk pick out a heater go to check put hand caisher the paperwork Marylynn gave me but I didnt have it. So I go to customerservice desk and tell them the problem and they argued with me told me I lost the reciept treated me like I was a crook. Your store manager Brian and Customer Service supervisor I stood there for I hour agrueing with them. I had them call Matteson police department. In the mean time within that hour Tammy customer service service superviser could have canceled that voucher issued me a new one. But no she didnt while I was standing there waiting for them to check cameras like I was the crook someone went through the checkout lines TWICE while they were doing nothing. Your staff did not return my 55.00 and I was wondering if this is how Menard runs there business. I will be contacting BBB and also the news paper. Jennifer Morrical

I purchase a 4.6CF Compact White Refrigerator # 4536388,the very bent day on January 15,2013 I notice that I was not offered the Extended Protection Plan.So I called the store where. I purchase this refrigerator from "714 5 EAST 96TH STREET IN FISHERS AND I WAS TOLD BY THE MANAGER. THAT THIS STORE. Doesn't OFFER A EXTENDED. WARRANTY. ON THIS ITEM. SO I DECIDED TO CALL SOME OTHER MENARDS AND I gave the manager the name of this product the number 4536388 and when and where I had purchase this item I WAS TOLD THAT ALL MENARDS OFFERED A 1 YEAR EXTENDED PROTECTION. PLAN AND THIS WARRANTY STARTS AFTER THE MANUFACTURES WARRANT ENDS. WHY DID YOUR STORE IN FISHERS LIE TO ME? THE CASHIER NEVER OFFERED. ME THE WARRANTY. BUT PUT THE EXTENDED PROTECTION PLAN PAMPHLET IN MY BAG.WHAT IS THIS I DON'T WANT TO THINK THAT BECAUSE OF MY SKIN COLOR THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT YOU MY MONEY IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUR STORE BUT THE WARRANTY. I have been shopping at your store for many years in Crestwood - and the store and employees are amazing! I moved recently to the Oak Lawn area and the store in BRIDGEVIEW - IS A JOKE!!! You have a manager or someone who claims that they are a manager named Heather - who is dumb as a box of rocks/and as helpful as talking to a wall!
Your employees will stop and help you - but most of them do not know what the hell they are talking about. You can go in this store and ask for a item and they have no clue on products like STANLEY.....REALLY - SHAME ON YOU MENARDS AND YOUR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - ALL YOUR PHONE NUMBERS ARE A JOKE/YOUR RECORDING WHEN TELLING YOU HOW TO PUT IN A COMPLAINT GET'S SOFTER AND SOFTER - TOO BAD WE DO A LOT OF BUSINESS WITH YOU - FOR OUR OWN BUSINESS AND WE WILL BE SHOPPING SOMEWHERE ELSE - FOREVER!!!!!!!!

On March 2nd 2013 I purchased a bathroom light fixture however I forgot to get the receipt at the end of the register. I tried to install the light in my bathroom but it did not fit where I needed it I tried to return it and was told I would only receive $36.04 back for the $52.99 light fixture I had purchased two days prior. I asked if I could show you the person that checked me out and was told no, I asked if you could go back on the security cameras and you would see me purchase the light paying in cash. I knew the date I was there and the roughly the time, was also told no. Now today I tried to return it again and was informed you could only go back 5 days on the security footage. I don't understand why I should lose 16.95 for having a light I could not use. Please contact me as soon as possible in regards to the manner. I purchased the light from the muskegon, mi location. My small grandson was called a "Spic" by the assistant manager in the Menards store in Ottumwa, IA. He was just standing there and because the employee heard his name was Pablo, he called him this disparaging name. Below is the response received when a complaint was made. Corporate Menards appears to promote this kind of racism because they refuse to respond. My grandson is a middle class white child whose father is from Madrid Spain. I can't imagine what they say to poorer children of color.
THE IS MERNARD'S EMPLOYEE RESPONSE:
"I am tired of you people coming in our stores complaining about what we call you and shoplifting. I catch people all the time and tell them to stop coming over to my country to steal. Come into my store and I will stop you every time for shoplifting because you and your son probably are stealing something. The stores are on our side so contact them all you want, they won't respond and won't care because you people lie and we are just doing are jobs and it costs you poor bastards too much to fight. Get over it and move on........."

Monday April 29, 2013 went to the Marion, IL store to return merchandise that was not needed. Even though our check had cleared the bank and the policy is NOT posted, we were informed by a very CONDESCENDING associate, LANA WHO WAS RUDE & VERY COCKY, that we could not get our money back for 14 days!!!! Our delivery was a day late which we paid $79 for, our check cleared the bank, treated horribly by Lana and you want to hold our money for 14 days or only give a store credit!!!! THIS IS JUST WRONG AND LANA HAS NO BUSINESS WORKING WITH HUMANS!!!!

After reading a lot of complaints about poor customer service, I wonder if complaining to Menards corporate will do any good, instead I think I may just use social media and a letter to the editor of newspapers to tell my story of poor customer service to the public. The one thing corporate offices should understand is economics. If I can advertise enough I will have satisfaction. A Pyrrhic victory will be justice. Menards here I come, a very upset past customer.
My situation is that we were not charged for a 100.00 item when we purchased 300.00 in goods. When I realized it, my wife went to pay for the item. Instead of being grateful and saying thank you, the store personnel treated her like a criminal. I decided to return the item and get a refund and buy from a reputable business. It took a lot of convincing and 15 minutes to get to speak with a manager who was also not appreciative. After 30 minutes he did finally apologize for the rudeness and asked us to please return to shop again. Menards sucks on customer service and if I ever do shop there and they ,ake a mistake I will not do the right thing and go back to pay for it as it certainly will be treated with malice and not appreciated. Social media here I come. Menards thanks for the inspiration to advertise for you.

I visited two menards in may and june. I had the same bad experience with rude front desk managers with them taking their bad days out on my mother and me. We had to do a return on a wrong boxed item. Same manager chicon and marin just ignored us and told us to go to that department to complain to the department manager. The clerk said we have to exchange at the desk manager. Merry go round. We gave. Up. Please hire more mature and experienced people who look at the customers..not their phones

Menards really needs to consider opening a store in the greenfield Indiana
Area. It would be an extremely profitable store considering the only Menards
Close is 45-50 mins away. Menards in greenfield would get a great deal of
Customers also considering there is no home improvement store around.

On 10-28-14 I purchased the following item.60"Midway EL FP Prem Oak 86665 Fireplace price $699.00 plus tax for a total of $744.20.
I have been trying to register the item since with the site provided within and on the carton. TSIcustomerservice.com. The site tells me the numbers I provided from both the carton and the item is not a correct number.
How am I supposed to register the produce????
I shop at Menards regulary and am very disappointed with this result.
The item was also damaged on the front edge, which I sent a picture referring to the area, and when we assembled the item
the drilled holes on one side were not correct, therefore the first screw went through to the front creating an ugly area. I feel I should be compensated for all of this.This is my 3rd attempt to get this problem resolved.
